What is Massage Therapy?
Massage Therapy in British Columbia has been a regulated health care profession since 1946 and is regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of BC.
The practice of massage therapy is the assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body for the treatment and prevention of disfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders. Registered Massage Therapists undergo extensive training in the treatment and prevention of injury, pain and physical disorders though the manual manipulation of structures of the body such as ligaments, tendons, connective tissue, muscles, blood vessels, organs and other soft tissues.

How long should I book a treatment for?
45 minutes • This is the perfect length to attentively treat 1-2 specific areas or condition.
60 minutes • This is the perfect length of time for an initial treatment. It allows for focused work on specific areas or a mellow full body massage.
75 minutes • This is the perfect length of time for a more thorough full body massage with concentrated time on 1 area.
90 minutes • The ideal length of time for a thorough full body treatment focused on relaxation and concentrated time on 2-3 areas.

Are you a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)?
Yes, I am a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. I received my license in May 2022.

What is your cancellation and no-show policy?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
Patients who provide less than 24 hours' notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged the full price of the appointment.

Its my first time seeing you, what should I expect?
Each treatment time consists of assessment, consent for treatment, hands on treatment and post treatment home-care suggestions.
During the assessment, the therapist will go through your medical history to ensure that the treatment is tailored to you and your present condition.

Do you offer Direct Billing?
Yes. We Direct Bill to the following insurance:

Do you bill to ICBC, WCB (Worksafe BC) or MSP?
At this moment we do not bill to ICBC, WCB (Worksafe BC) or MSP.
All patients must provide payment for their treatments, and submit their treatments to ICBC, WCB (Worksafe BC) or MSP and they will be reimbursed through those entities.

I can't find my preferred time. What should I do?
Add yourself to the waitlist. As soon as there is an opening, a notification will be sent via email or text.

What do you wear to Massage Therapy?
Clothing that is easy for the individual to dress and undress in.
Prior to the hands on treatment, the therapist will go over the areas that are intended for treatment and instruct the patient on which items of clothing to remove. Treating skin-to-skin is perfered. If it is not within your personal comfort level to have a specific area unclothed, the treatment can be modified.

I am sick. Should I still come in?
Due to COVID-19, if you are feeling unwell or have any of the symptoms of COVID-19 please cancel your appointment and get tested.
The cancellation fee is waived in these cases.
